This is my first post. It is kind of scary really. I never thought that I would do anything like this. Crazy to think that all of a sudden my thoughts are out there for the world to see. Very weird. Anyway. I am so thankful that in this world we live in, we have an opportunity to share our thoughts and see what people think. I think about a woman like Harriet Beecher Stowe, who was just a wife, mother, daughter of a preacher, but was extremely concerned about the issue of slavery. She was so moved and outraged, that she picked up her pen and wrote. Her thoughts, her passion and her vision for a better America, one where all peoples were free, led Abraham Lincoln to say, "so you're the little lady who started this big war." So, maybe there is room for the voices of the housewives and mothers, who love richly, care mightily and are passionate about a few things. So it begins...
